Description of Attorney Referral Network
NAIP does not allow any lawyer to participate in our Attorney Network unless the lawyer meets three criteria:
- They must provide us with their curriculum vitae. All attorneys must specialize in employment/securities law. They must have at least five years of experience in this area but most of the lawyers on our list have more than fifteen years of experience representing brokers and financial advisers.
- They must answer a questionnaire that we provide them that goes beyond what their resume may provide.
- They have to promise to contact our members within 24 hours of a member requesting an initial consultation.
- They have to give our members a 10% discount off their hourly fee*.
I built the Attorney Referral Network with the former NAIP and ran it for ten years. It was one of our most successful programs and as far as I know never had any complaints about the level of service. Most of the lawyers on our current list are from that former list.
As many of you know I went through a three year-long arbitration with a former employer. I experienced the same problems you may be experiencing now; emotional turmoil, firms conflicting files making it impossible to find a good qualified lawyer in your local, extreme legal costs, and bad legal representation.
Our hope is that by providing this list to our members ( which will be growing in time), that you will avoid some of the aforementioned problems and be able to protect the business you have worked so hard to build.
